athletics

two weeks ago we had athletics it had been called off a couple times because of the weather. i ended up getting into west coast athletics and made it in for discus,50m sprints,100m sprints, long jump and shot put. today was west coast athletics but the weather wasn't to good.

PReP

A couple of weeks ago i applied for a job in PReP. PReP is a thing the hole school is involved in were people can chose a job as in police force,the warehouse,banker,advertiser,working in a Junior room or you can make your own business. The police force goes around class rooms making sure they are on task doing the right thing, the warehouse workers deliver the business workers materials so they can make their product,the advertiser workers advertise the business workers business around the school,last but not least the junior workers just help out in the junior class rooms . Does your school do a similar event like this??

Surfing

Yesterday i went surfing with my brother and a mate down by the tip head next to the kahuna board riders club . The waves were around one an a half meters high and there was a massive rip out to sea so we had to be careful.   Have you been surfing?? if not you need to try it its so much fun.

Reflecting on the term

Today is the last day of the term and  we are reflecting on what we have done through out the term.
My Favourite highlights this term were the rugby sevens the fifteen aside rugby tournament and all the sports I've contributed to this term as well as all the trips me and my class have been on. What I'm most proud of this term. I'm most proud of all the effort I've out in to my sports and work this term. My goal for next term is to make my new teacher as welcome as possible in to his new class room also I'm looking forward to meeting him. Whats your goal for next term?

My pet dog

Most people have a pet and one of them are me i have pure bead bull terrier and i think its the most annoying est thing in the world she is white with a black spot on her ear and she is just about one she is really play full but crazy at the same time.do you have a dog? 

Rugby

last week Saturday i played a game of rugby at my team home grounds in blake town we played against hokitika under fourteen combined it was a hard game but  we  put our all in to the game and we ended up wining ninety five to fifteen.whats your favourite rugby team/player?my personal favourite is the hurricanes.

My Maori myth how thunder became a thing

This week we were learning about myths and legends based around Aotearoa.

heres my story.

Tāwhirimātea

Once upon a time upon the clouds there was a village and in that village there was a young good looking man named Tāwhirimātea .

next to their village  was a young beautiful girl named aroha. Both of the villages were arch enemies.

Aroha and Tāwhirimātea   were so deep in love but had to keep it a secret from there villages. one day arohas chief/dad god of lightning came looking for her and saw that  Tāwhirimātea and aroha together.. Arohas dad was so furious that he declared war on Tāwhirimāteas village. Tāwhirimātea  ran back to his village and warned his village about arohas dad declaring war on them.

so the village was preparing for war., Tāwhirimātea had tried to go see aroha before the war had started. he had seen aroha leaning over a log and then saw her dad with a machete chanting a kurakea! he was making a sacrifice by killing aroha.

he quickly ran to try to save aroha,  but it was to late. They all pointed spears at Tāwhirimātea, he quickly ran back to his village  and told the that war had begun.

Tāwhirimātea  was a whole other person that day.  he had stormed into the village roaring like thunder and fought every single person in the village with his almighty roa and strength…..

His roaring is also known as thunder today….

Top team games T1 W10

This week on Tuesday  the whole school was doing top team games. Our team was called Westside Warriors . Our colours were red white and black. The whole school had to do top team games in mixed up teams.  We had to build a tower and see who can get the highest. Here's a photo.

Kawa of Care

This week we had someone come into the school named Madeline. We did a poster about kawa of care - how to look after our Chromebook. Here is my poster.

Numeracy Reflection T1 W9

This week in numeracy I was learning how to do 2 digit multiplication.  Here is an example of a multiplication task I was doing on maths buddy.  I found this multiplication easy to do. Now I am going to learn 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication.

Camp reflection lebron

W.A.L.T:write a clear and detailed sentences.

During Week 6 Mamaku 2 went on camp. At camp there were teachers and parents all there to supervise us. During camp there were fun activities games and more to play. The place we had stayed at was at Maxwell Gage Centre.

On camp there were mums and dads, Miss Prendergast, Mr B and Mamaku all on camp together that helped us and cared for us. During camp the parents and teachers had planed cool and fun activities for us  and cooked the best meals ever.

On camp while the parents and teachers were in the lodge, well most of them, we were playing a variety of games like bulrush, touch and donkey. If we had nothing to do well we always found something to do.

The place we had been staying Maxwell Gage center was at West port where we were staying it had 10 rooms all together it had a back field with lots of spas it was so cool I would live there.

It was the day Mamaku 2 were heading on cap week six 9 o'clock in the morning I head down early in the morning filled with energy.
